John Dunham shares his insights about theology and the bible from colorado, where he lives with his wife, two daughters, a dog, and a cat.

Moment

In some time or other place,
What one intends
Meets up with grace.

Such is a Moment,
Filled with Spirit.

Scarcely do things go as planned;
Yet with upward palm-flat hand,
Found may be what’s yet more grand.

Such is a Moment,
Filled with Spirit.

Fist gripped tight round God-knows-what,
To other eyes it’s merely air.
Believe it or not our Father’s there.

Such is a Moment,
Filled with Spirit.

No matter the evil or compromise,
Repentance and redemption are the prize.
If not for Presence none would arise.

Such is a Moment,
Filled with Spirit.

Omnipresent simply means
His grain the Savior smartly gleans
And his harvest does not waste.

Such is a Moment,
Filled with Spirit.

Forsaken rings an aweful note;
Life is left to bring forth life
Sundering idol, sin, and strife.

Such is the Moment.
